Rooms
Our three carefully designed rooms each provide age-appropriate environments where children are given opportunities to explore, grow and build that lifelong love of learning.
Hedgehogs (0-2 years)
Our baby room provides a nurturing environment for babies to explore and develop at their own pace. They are given opportunities to investigate the natural world around them through sensory and outdoor experiences.
Squirrels (2 - 3 years)
Toddlers are encouraged to develop curiosity and independence through play-based learning and supportive interactions in both the indoor and outdoor learning environments.
Owls (3-5 years)
Our preschool room focuses on providing the children with opportunities to explore the natural world around them and lead their own learning.
Children will leave pre-school as confident, creative and curious learners having built that lifelong love of learning.
Our Philosophy
At Little Oaks, we believe nature is the most powerful teacher. Our philosophy embraces child-led exploration, nurturing curiosity, confidence and creativity in a warm, calming environment where children feel safe, seen, and inspired.
A message from Elizabeth
I've spent over a decade working with young children and every day has reminded me of something magical: children are natural explorers, endlessly curious about the world around them. My passion has always been those crucial early years, the foundation that shapes everything that follows.
Little Oaks was born from a simple belief: children thrive when trusted to follow their curiosity, supported by adults who truly understand child development, and given the freedom to learn through nature and play. I want to create a nursery where children arrive excited each day, where parents feel genuinely heard and valued, and where every child is nurtured to become a confident, curious learner.
As a qualified early years teacher, currently completing a masters in Psychology, and a mum to two energetic boys. I bring both practical classroom experience and a deep understanding of how children learn and grow. But more than qualifications, I bring a genuine love for this work and a commitment to creating the very best start in life for every child who walks through our doors.
